The design was kept artistically simple, in reviving the architect’s vision for this modern residence built in the 1980’s. Making the entrance a piece of art reminiscent of a museum, via minimalist Asian influence, the original inspiration is preserved. Pruning the cherry tree on top of the rolling green lawn creates a bonsai for peaceful alone time and a walkway meanders through the lawn as would a stream on a hill. Simple linear extensions of the stone wall and a substantial wood pergola add to the house proportions and architectural element. All walkways and the driveway are paved with pea gravel for a seamless courtyard expanse. Creative yet subtle lighting is simple, strong, and functional near the front door and within the pergola.
